If you want to keep a new affiliate registration pending in WordPress, there is a custom method for you.
This method applies if you are using Affiliates, Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise plugins by itthinx. It gives you the option to decide whether or not and when you will approve a new affiliate registration.
The process is pretty simple. Pending affiliates cannot see their available tools. Affiliates will be approved after they are added to a group named Affiliates. Only Affiliates group members can view the contents of Affiliate Area page.

If you want to add your Affiliates to MailPoet mailists in WordPress, then all you need is Affiliates MailPoet Subscribers plugin. It is an extension for Affiliates, Affiliates Pro, Affiliates Enterprise from itthinx.com and MailPoet Newsletters from mailpoet.com.
With this extension you can automatically subscribe new affiliates in MailPoet lists. When a new affiliate registers to your site, he is also becoming a member of a subscription list called Affiliates. If the list doesn’t exist, it automatically creates it and then subscribes the new affiliate.
